1997 SESSION
HB 1795 Claims; Town of Clarksville.
Introduced by: Frank M. Ruff (by request) | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Claims; Town of Clarksville. Provides $13,509.71 in relief for the Town of Clarksville. The Town and the Department of Corrections entered into an agreement whereby the Town would provide the Department with water at a favorable rate as if the Department were an in-town commercial customer with the understanding that the Department would assist in the extension of the Town's water line and become a long-term water customer. The Department has not moved forward with the extension of the water line and the Town seeks to recover the difference between the favorable in-town rates and the out-of-town rates that the Department would have paid had there been no plan for extension of the water line.
