Introduced by: Robert G. Marshall | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Manufactured housing in agricultural zones. Requires that any county of more than 200,000 people that has the county executive form of government (Prince William County) must permit manufactured houses of more than 19 feet in width (also known as "double-wide" manufactured housing) in agricultural zones, and allows such county to require that any manufactured house placed in such a district be manufactured within three years of placement, and that trees or shrubs be planted around any such house to provide natural screening. Currently, localities must permit and apply the same standards to both "single-wide" and "double-wide" manufactured housing in agricultural zones.
