SUMMARY:

Assault and battery; penalty. Imposes enhanced penalties for second and subsequent offenses. A second offense will be punished with a minimum mandatory jail sentence of 30 days and a third offense, as a Class 6 felony. Assault and assault and battery offenses committed in other jurisdictions will be considered prior offenses.
