SUMMARY:
Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Act; appeals. Allows a claimant to appeal to the circuit court a decision by the Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Program denying payments of necessary and reasonable expenses if the amount in dispute is less than $2,500. Such appeals may be filed in the circuit court for the city or county where the claimant resides or where the infant was born. Currently, all disputes regarding awards under the Act are within the jurisdiction of the Workers' Compensation Commission.
