SUMMARY:
Sales and use tax exemption; nonprofit civic and community service organizations. Grants a sales and use tax exemption for purchases and sales by any nonprofit organization exempt from taxation under § 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code which is organized exclusively for the purpose of reducing crime by providing rewards to anonymous callers supplying information resulting in the arrest of persons or the recovery of property. Manassas City Crime Solvers, Inc., would be a beneficiary of the exemption.
