SUMMARY:
Sales and use tax exemption; UJA Federation of Greater Washington, Inc. Provides a sales and use tax exemption from July 1, 1997, through June 30, 1998, for an organization exempt from taxation under § 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code which is organized to (i) conduct campaigns; (ii) solicit, collect, receive, hold, administer, expend, convey and otherwise dispose of funds, real and personal property, and the income and proceeds therefrom, for the support of the United Jewish Appeal Inc.; and (iii) support such local and other Jewish religious, charitable, philanthropic, scientific and educational purposes and such agencies, organizations and institutions as may be approved by the board of directors or executive committee.
