SUMMARY:
Damage to property. Allows localities to adopt a Class 1 misdemeanor ordinance that punishes the willful and malicious damage to or defacement of any private buildings, facilities and personal property if the damage to the property is less than $1,000. The enabling statute currently applies only to such public property, but there is no monetary limit on the damage to public property.
