SUMMARY:

Claims; Russell, Beverly Q. Provides $64,000 in relief for Beverly Q. Russell, an employee of the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services at Catawba Hospital. In the course of her duties, Mrs. Russell was injured by a violent patient. Although the patient had a history of violence and was uncooperative about taking his medicine, he was assigned to an area of the hospital designed for patients without those problems. Workers' compensation has not fully compensated Mrs. Russell for her losses.
