Introduced by: James F. Almand | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Concealed weapons; fingerprinting. Requires a complete set of fingerprints to be included with the application for a concealed weapons permit and clarifies that the background check conducted by the State Police is to include a national criminal history records check. Pub. L. 92-544 requires the FBI to ensure that state statutes requiring national records checks for noncriminal justice purposes (e.g., state licensing statutes) require fingerprinting of the applicant and authorize the use of FBI records for screening.
