SUMMARY:

Virginia Retirement System; service retirement allowances. Provides that VRS service retirement allowances be multiplied by 1.65 percent of average final compensation. The bill also provides that, on and after July 1, 1996, VRS members and beneficiaries shall receive an additional retirement allowance equal to five percent of their service retirement allowance.
