SUMMARY:
Professions and occupations; regulation of peddlers. Provides for the regulation of itinerant merchants and specialty market vendors by local law-enforcement officials. The bill defines these types of merchants, sets out their record-keeping requirements, and requires them to permit an inspection of such records upon request of any law-enforcement official. The bill is an attempt to reduce larceny by eliminating the point of sale for stolen merchandise.
