1997 SESSION
WHEREAS, Pam Cave has been named the Centreville/Chantilly Citizen of the Year for 1996 by the Centreville Times and the Chantilly Times; and
WHEREAS, a resident of Chantilly, Pam Cave is the single parent of five children and a former welfare recipient who has worked hard to be self-supporting; and
WHEREAS, Pam Cave has been of service to her community, working as a volunteer educating single parents about child support; and
WHEREAS, Pam Cave has served on the Welfare Reform Task Force, is head of the Citizens for Parental Responsibility, and has hosted a forum to promote child support awareness; and
WHEREAS, Pam Cave is pursuing a law degree from the District of Columbia School of Law and plans to practice family and entitlement law; and
WHEREAS, Pam Cave's extraordinary record of achievements and community service are examples of determination and willpower; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly commend and congratulate Pam Cave on being named Centreville/Chantilly Citizen of the Year for 1996; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Pam Cave as an expression of the congratulations and best wishes of the General Assembly.
