960007376Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 10.1-2109.1 as follows:
§ 10.1-2109.1. Additional localities subject to this chapter.
On or before July 1, 2000, the Counties of Albemarle, Alleghany, Amelia, Amherst, Appomattox, Augusta, Bath, Botetourt, Buckingham, Clarke, Craig, Culpeper, Cumberland, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Frederick, Goochland, Greene, Highland, Loudoun, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Nottoway, Orange, Page, Powhatan, Prince Edward, Rappahannock, Rockbridge, Rockingham, and Warren; the towns within these counties; and the Cities of Buena Vista, Charlottesville, Clifton Forge, Covington, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Lynchburg, Manassas, Manassas Park, Staunton, Waynesboro, and Winchester shall comply with the provisions of this chapter. However, the designation of Chesapeake Bay Preservation Areas shall be accomplished by these counties, cities and towns no later than January 1, 1999, using the criteria adopted by the Board pursuant to § 10.1-2107.
