A BILL to repeal § 18.2-322.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating to beepers on school property .

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 18.2-322.1 of the Code of Virginia is repealed.

2. That any school division in the Commonwealth may regulate the use or possession of beepers or other portable communications devices by students on school property or attending school functions or activities and establish disciplinary procedures pursuant to § 22.1-277 of the Code of Virginia to which students violating such regulations will be subject .
