CHAPTER 720 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 30 of Title 54.1 a section numbered 54.1-3016.1, relating to nurses as correctional health assistants. [H 2164] Approved March 22, 1997

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 30 of Title 54.1 a section numbered 54.1-3016.1 as follows:

§ 54.1-3016.1. Correctional health assistants.

Licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners may practice as correctional health assistants pursuant to § 54.1-2901.
