CHAPTER 660 An Act to amend Chapter 657 of the Acts of Assembly of 1982, which provided a charter for the City of Danville, by adding a section numbered 10-14, relating to appointments to housing authority. [H 1821] Approved March 21, 1997

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That Chapter 657 of the Acts of Assembly of 1982 is amended by adding a section numbered 10-14 as follows:

§ 10-14. Appointments to the Board of the Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority.

Council shall appoint, as otherwise provided by law, the persons who are to serve as commissioners of the Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority. However, notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in § 2-6 of this charter, council is expressly authorized to appoint one member of council to serve as one of the commissioners of the Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
