SUMMARY:

Study; health care; effects of Medicaid managed care programs on durable medical equipment companies and pharmacy services to Medicaid recipients. Requests the Joint Commission on Health Care to study the effects of the Department of Medical Assistance Services' managed care programs on durable medical equipment companies and pharmacy services to Medicaid recipients. This resolution notes that some individuals have expressed concerns about quality and access to care and that small durable medical equipment companies and pharmacies feel shut out and fear that they will be driven to bankruptcy by the onset of managed care.
