SUMMARY:
Claims; Simpkins, Lewis and Barbara. Provides relief to Lewis Simpkins and Barbara Simpkins for damages sustained as the result of acquiring a lot in reliance on a certification that the lot passed a percolation test. The test was erroneously performed by the Caroline County Health Department on an adjacent lot. The value of the lot fell from $36,000 to $6,000 after it was learned that a drainfield could not be located on the lot. The amount sought, $20,106, represents the expenses incurred by Mr. and Mrs. Simpkins since acquiring the lot. Upon payment of this sum, Mr. and Mrs. Simpkins will deed the lot to the Commonwealth.
