SUMMARY:
Preliminary hearing or indictment. Makes numerous changes to Code provisions that refer to a required indictment before trial on a felony charge. The bill is a companion measure to another bill (Senate Bill No. 246) that allows for either a preliminary hearing or indictment, but not both.
