SUMMARY:

Law enforcement; family abuse policies. Requires DCJS to establish and implement standardized policies and guidelines to be used by local law-enforcement agencies in the handling of family abuse cases and makes conformance with the guidelines a condition of continued state funding. This bill is recommended by the Commission on Family Violence Prevention.
