SUMMARY:
Public Procurement Act; design-build authority. Authorizes (i) the Richmond City school board to enter into contracts for the construction of three public schools and the renovation of one public school; (ii) Chesapeake to improve South Battlefield Boulevard; (iii) Accomack to construct four public schools and renovate two public schools; (iv) Culpeper school board to construct an elementary school; (v) Loudoun or its industrial development authority to expand or replace the Loudoun County Courthouse; and (vi) York to construct a courthouse. The bill gives each locality six months to enter into such contracts or their authority will expire and contains an emergency clause.
