SB 565 Economic growth sharing agreements.

SUMMARY:

Voluntary economic growth sharing agreements. Allows all localities to enter into growth sharing agreements, including revenue and tax base sharing. Currently, localities may enter into such agreements as part of an annexation settlement. The agreements must be approved, after a public hearing, by the governing bodies of all affected localities and shall be submitted to the Commission on Local Government for review. This bill is identical to HB 470 and HB 1516.
