SUMMARY:
Public assistance; day care. Requires the Department of Social Services to fully fund day care for the children of AFDC recipients, participants in the Virginia Initiative for Employment Not Welfare (VIEW), and former VIEW participants for twelve months after termination of AFDC financial assistance if the individual is employed; participating in job placement, job training or education services; enrolled full time in, and making satisfactory progress toward completion of, a job training or educational program designed to result in self-sufficiency; or otherwise eligible for day care pursuant to State Board of Social Services regulations.
