SUMMARY:
Certificates of public need; definitions. Eliminates from the definition of specialized centers or clinics outpatient or ambulatory surgery centers. This definition is structured, presently, to include any portion of a physician's office developed for the provision of outpatient or ambulatory surgery. This is the only definition which specifically captures physicians' offices. The term outpatient or ambulatory surgery center applies to a wide variety of entities, including urologic and ophthalmologic surgeries.
