SUMMARY:
Certificates of satisfaction. Provides that, whether or not there is evidence of a debt other than a lien or mortgage and whether or not such evidence is lost, when a certificate of satisfaction of that debt is filed with the clerk, so shall an affidavit be filed stating that the debt is satisfied. Currently, such affidavit is filed when there is no such evidence or the evidence is lost.
