SUMMARY:

Insurance coverage for mental health and substance abuse services. Requires individual policies and contracts of insurance to include coverage for outpatient mental health and substance abuse services. Currently, the provisions of subsection C of § 38.2-3412.1--mandating coverage for a minimum of 20 visits for outpatient treatment per year--apply only to group policies and contracts.
