SUMMARY:
Virginia Retirement System; election of optional benefits. Requires any application for retirement to include a notarized statement by the member's spouse, if any, acknowledging the option selected. The VRS Board will adopt procedures governing payments to retired members who fail to provide the acknowledgment.
