SUMMARY:
Juvenile record information. Grants access to records in the Central Criminal Records Exchange regarding delinquent acts which would have been felonies if committed by adults, to probation officers and, where allowed, Commonwealth's attorneys, for the purposes of preparing the discretionary sentencing guidelines worksheets. The bill also specifically grants access to court records of juveniles for the same purpose to the Commonwealth's attorney appointed by the court to prepare the guidelines worksheet and to probation and parole officers. This bill is recommended by the Virginia Sentencing Commission.
