SB 460 Criminal history records checks; private & parochial school employees.
Introduced by: Joseph B. Benedetti | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Criminal history records checks for private school employees. Requires the governing boards of accredited private schools to require, as a condition of employment, fingerprinting and information from the national Central Criminal Records Exchange for persons who accept employment, whether on a temporary, permanent, or part- or full-time basis. The crimes of manslaughter, rape, and felonious assaults are added to those crimes for which the records are searched. Under current law, fingerprinting of school employees is required by the public school boards of those counties and cities specified in the Code.
