SUMMARY:
Neighborhood Assistance Act. Increases the amount of tax credits authorized from $8 million to $10 million and requires that $2 million of the total amount be utilized for programs serving impoverished areas. Current law allows expenditure for impoverished areas and for impoverished people and will expand the amount of tax credits available from $5.25 million to $ 8 million effective July 1, 1996.
