SUMMARY:
Regulation of burning. Removes an exemption for railroad companies, in their rights-of-way, from prohibitions on burning wood, brush, leaves and the like in an area organized for fire control by the State Forester. A new exemption is added for federal lands as is an exemption for the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, on lands owned by it, between February 15 and March 1 of each year. This bill changes from March 1 through May 15 to February 15 through April 30 the period when certain fires are illegal in areas organized for fire control by the State Forester.
