SUMMARY:

Notice of zoning amendments. Requires that any proposed amendment of the zoning ordinance shall require written notice to be given by the local planning commission, or its representative, at least five days before the hearing to the owner, owners, or their agent, of each parcel of land involved. Currently, such notice is required only if the proposed rezoning involves fewer than 500 parcels of land; otherwise, only a newspaper advertisement is required.
