SUMMARY:

Prisons; parole review. Provides that interviews with a prisoner eligible for parole may be conducted every other year after the first year of eligibility. Parole reviews, which include the collection and analysis of vital information pertinent to the decision about granting parole, would still be done on an annual basis with certain exceptions as provided in current law.

This bill is substantially the same as HB 1053.
