SUMMARY:

Involuntary detention and commitment. Permits the examiner of the person who is the subject of the hearing to be an employee of the admitting or detaining hospital if the examiner is an employee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Current law prohibits employees of the admitting or detaining hospital, except for employees of state hospitals, from conducting the examination.
