Introduced by: Martin E. Williams | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Commitment of serious offenders. Ensures that the information regarding a serious juvenile offender's length of stay, which the Department is required to provide to the committing judge, will be based on information actually available to the Department at the time of the disposition of the case. The bill specifies that the Department is no longer to recommend lengths of stay based on treatment needs and social history, but is simply to estimate length of stay.
