SUMMARY:
Local ordinances; reimbursement for emergency response. Authorizes local governments to enact ordinances allowing them to seek reimbursement, in a civil action, from any person convicted of a drug offense where his operation of a motor vehicle, engine, train, or watercraft while drug-impaired is the proximate cause of an accident necessitating a local emergency response. Currently this authority applies only if the impairment was caused by use of alcohol.
