SUMMARY:

Elections; post-election procedures. Clarifies provisions enacted in 1995 to give the electoral board the option to have election materials delivered to the office of the general registrar after the polls close on election night in lieu of delivery to the office of the circuit court clerk by noon of the day following the election. The changes provide for delivery by the general registrar of certain election materials to the circuit court clerk on the day following the election and for holding appropriate materials for the use of the electoral board in ascertaining the results of the election.
