SUMMARY:

Solar photovoltaic manufacturing incentive grants. Extends the grant program through 2001. Currently, any manufacturer of photovoltaic panels made in Virginia is entitled to 75 cents per watt of panel capacity sold between January 1, 1995, and December 31, 1999. The bill provides that manufacturers who commence sales after December 31, 1995, are eligible for up to 75 cents per watt of panels sold through the end of 2001, and that manufacturers may not receive grants for more than five years. This bill is identical to HB 516.
