SUMMARY:

Prisons; Virginia Correctional Enterprises. Eliminates the joint ventures advisory board for correctional enterprises and assigns those responsibilities to the Virginia Correctional Enterprises Board. This bill creates the Virginia Correctional Enterprises Board under the auspices of the Department of Corrections and reconfigures the membership of the original board so that membership generally represents business and industry and retains representatives of applicable state agencies.
