SUMMARY:
Mileage allowance. Allows local governments to establish the rate of reimbursement of persons traveling on business of the locality, provided the mileage reimbursement rate does not exceed the rate set by the Internal Revenue Service. Currently, local reimbursement rates cannot exceed the rate for state employees of 24 cents per mile.
