SUMMARY:
Concealed handgun permit. Requires the court to accept as proof of competency a certificate or affidavit attesting that the applicant has completed any one of the eight courses or classes listed in the statute. The bill also (i) lowers the age for certain federal retirees who may obtain a permit without payment of any fee to conform with the authorized federal retirement age and (ii) expands the class of federal retirees exempt from the fee requirement to include all federal law-enforcement officers and firefighters.
