SB 115 Immunization of children.

Introduced by: Yvonne B. Miller | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Immunization of children. Removes the requirement that certain health care providers must obtain written parental consent prior to sharing immunization and child locator information as a part of the development of the immunization tracking system. This information may only be shared among health professionals for the purpose of protecting the public health by ensuring that each child receive age-appropriate immunizations. Currently, written parental consent is required before health professionals may share such information, which often creates a major barrier to ensuring that children are immunized against preventable communicable diseases.

This bill is identical to HB 1499.
