SUMMARY:
Study; non-partisan local elections. Establishes a joint subcommittee, composed of six House and three Senate members, to study the appropriateness of requiring that elections of local governing bodies and other officials be on a non-partisan basis. Most municipalities, through charter provisions, now prohibit party nomination of candidates.
