SUMMARY:
Study; SCHEV to study faculty teaching time. Requests the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia to study the adequacy of the time dedicated for classroom instruction by faculty at Virginia's institutions of higher learning. There is a growing concern that the time devoted to teaching has diminished because of the growing administrative and research-driven responsibilities of faculty. The study shall determine whether funds designated for direct educational support are being spent proportionally in such a manner.
