SUMMARY:
Constitutional amendment (first resolution); General Assembly; term limits. Limits members of the Senate to three consecutive terms (12 years) and members of the House of Delegates to six consecutive terms (12 years). The limits apply to terms of service beginning on or after the start of the 1996 Regular Session of the General Assembly.
