SUMMARY:

Housing; service coordinators. Requests the consideration of increased funding within programs under the Department of Housing and Community Development, or its successor, for financing the cost of a service coordinator as well as expanded regional pilot projects for funding service coordinators in congregate housing facilities. Allowing elderly persons to remain in an independent living situation is beneficial to both the individual and the state, and service coordinators are the key to linking persons in need of services with those appropriate services.
