SUMMARY:

Charter; City of Poquoson. Allows the city council to appoint a board of architectural review and designate architectural control districts within commercial, industrial or research/development zoning districts in order to protect the general welfare and to prevent the deterioration of the appearance of the City. No structure shall be erected, reconstructed, altered or restored within such district until approved by the board. The statute closely resembles the existing architectural review statute in the charter of the Town of Herndon.
