SUMMARY:

Exempt property value. Makes uniform the value of property which may be paid out or acted upon with less formality in the distribution of decedents' estates, thereby generally making $10,000 the standard amount for values ranging now from $2,500 to $6,000. However, the family allowance amount is increased from $ $6,000 to $12,000 (i.e., increased from $500 to $1,000 per month).
