SUMMARY:
Use of hydraulic dredges. Allows the Virginia Marine Resources Commission to issue permits to aquaculture operations and owners of submerged lands for the use of hydraulic dredges to take and catch hard-shell clams. Currently, the use of hydraulic dredges by anyone other than the Commission or the Virginia Institute of Marine Science is prohibited.
