Belcher for the value of their cattle herds, which were slaughtered in accordance with tuberculosis control measures. The amounts sought ($61,141.73 for Allen and C. W. Harman, $132,059.17 for Douglas Lane Belcher, and $25,800.12 for Ava B. Belcher) represent the difference between the appraised value of the herds and the moneys received by the claimants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and from the sale of the carcasses.
